ANGEL'S ENVY - Bottled in Bond Cask Strength Bourbon
This is a big deal for two reasons. First, it is the first-ever (at least that we’ve ever heard of) release of a bourbon that is both Bottled-in-Bond and cask strength. To pull off that nifty feat, Master Distiller Owen Martin blended together barrels that at natural cask strength happened to come together at exactly 50.0% abv (every other Bottled-in-Bond release in history as far as we know has added water to reduce the abv to 50%). But it is also an important release for another reason — it is the first time Angel’s Envy has released an unfinished product (in other words, not further matured in a secondary cask). Until now, secondary cask finishing has been Angel’s Envy’s signature.

Defying convention, this release raises the bar by offering a premium Bottled-in-Bond bourbon at Cask Strength and marks our first foray into the world of unfinished whiskey. The 750 ml bottle is now available nationwide and at the Angel’s Envy Distillery in Louisville, Kentucky.
