BALCONES - True Blue Cask Strength - Straight Corn Whisky, Finished in ex-tequila casks.

Bottled at cask strength of 56.6% abv.

Color: Light Amber

Nose: Halloween candy corn, maple syrup-soaked waffle crumbs at the end of a decadent breakfast, giving way to wafts of brown sugar, vanilla, and even a bit of a rum dunder note

Palate: first a Butterscotch bomb, followed by a sugary rainbow fruit rollup, spearmint, and then on the back end some of the ex-tequila barrel starts to show up with mineral notes, even dank green chiles and a wisp of cilantro

Finish: spearmint takes charge here for a long finish, the tequila notes become more pronounced but with more of a vegetal emphasis now, plus a slight burnt sugar note in the background
