A note from Drammers Club: In August of 2020, we traveled to the Wyoming Whiskey distillery in person in Kirby, joined by our tasting committee with members across the United States choosing 2 barrels exclusively for our club from a range of 8 samples (the full video of our tasting is available at Drammers.com under the Video Library tab). Cask #5678 was distilled when Steve Nally, the former longtime master distiller at Makers Mark, was working at Wyoming (in contrast our other barrel #6049 was distilled after he went back into retirement). This cask stood out as a favorite with intense baking spices, in sharp contrast to the slightly younger other barrel we selected.
