Stellum is a label created by the team at Barrell Craft Spirits, but, in contrast to their exceptionally creative and unusual releases under the Barrell Craft Spirits line, such as Armida, Segrass, Dovetail, etc., with Stellum they are targeting a high end product that is closer to the core flavors that we think of when it comes to bourbon and rye and at a lower price point. This single cask was selected by Drammers Club members in a hybrid online and in-person tasting. Stellum uses category names to distinguish the mashbills, and this barrel features their “Serpens” mashbill, which is the iconic 95% rye / 5% malted barley first popularized by the artists formerly known as MGP.
