HATOZAKI - 12YO UMESHU CASK FINISH

Distilled at the Kaikyō Distillery (sharing space with the historic Akashi Sake Brewery) in Akashi City, Hyōgo Prefecture, Honshu, Japan

Aged for 12 years in ex-American Oak casks and finished in bespoke barrels that previously held Akashi-Tai's superior Umeshu Plum Sake Liqueur, this expression is finished and bottled in Japan. It undergoes no chill filtration or has any colour added, to create a whisky that's simply remarkable and best enjoyed neat or on the rocks.

Tasting Notes:

Nose: Cereal, fresh pear & apricots.

Palate: Complex with a hint of honey & sweetness from the Umeshu casks.

Finish: Lingering with plenty of depth.
