Drammers Club selected this cask strength single barrel at the Drammening in Chicago in 2024: a single cask of Fat Pug, the first ever single cask pick from the Maplewood Distillery, based in Chicago. This is the most sought-after of Maplewood’s products, and is rare to come by absent the day they hit the shelves at the distillery itself. This was aged in a 30 gallon barrel and yielded 36 bottles.

From the Maplewood Team: Inspired by the grain bill of our Fat Pug Oatmeal Milk Stout, this unique American malt whiskey is full bodied with rich notes of cocoa powder.

You’d swear we add chocolate to this one, but the deep flavor comes entirely from the marriage of the specialty malted barley and barrel.
