In the runup to our 10 year anniversary (2013-2023!), we wanted to do something special. We were discussing it one night after an event, and our friend and fellow Drammer Dave Schmier overheard and offered to pull out one of his most special barrels to fit the occasion. Which is saying something of course — Dave continues to win so many awards with his celebrated Proof & Wood releases like The Justice, The Ambassador, Tumblin’ Dice and more, that for him to pull out something special for us — a 10yo bourbon no less — is incredibly humbling. Note that the angels were plenty greedy on this one — it yielded only 144 bottles, and we’ll need to save some for the club for our 20 year anniversary obviously! We’re fortunate to be able to say that Dave has long been an active and incredibly supportive member of the club, and we’ve had the pleasure of hosting him at events across many of our chapters across the US and Europe. We couldn’t imagine anything more perfect than for our 100th barrel pick, in honor of our 10 year anniversary, to feature a barrel from our friend and fellow Drammer Dave. Cheers!
